2021 Winter/Spring Semester Canceled

Dear Lifelong Learners,

I want to send my personal greetings to each of you who have been the integral part of the success of Lifelong Learning of Hilton Head Island.  It is my wish that each of you have remained well and safe as we continue our journey through the process of the eradication of the COVID-19 virus.  The vaccine is close at hand and I can see a light at the end of this dark tunnel.

As you may recall, last fall we made the decision to cancel the 2021 winter/spring term as the prediction and ultimate reality was that the virus would prevent any safe group gatherings.  With the understanding that the social gathering of like-minds is an important aspect of our LLHHI mission statement, we decided that virtual classrooms for our LLHHI membership was, in our opinion, not in their best interests.

The LLHHI Board of Directors and Curriculum Committee will be meeting shortly after the New Year to discuss how and when to move forward when it is safe not only for you but the venue personnel and our teachers.  We are committed to pushing ahead with the amazing courses you have come to expect.  While we have many courses in the LLHHI hopper ready to go, we are always interested in your suggestions and requests; please feel free to contact me any time.

Should we decide to offer some outdoor classes late this spring, you will be notified via email and our website, www.lifelonglearninghhi.org.

My best to you,

Kristen Sakati
